Chapter 31: Viśvāmitra, Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa Depart for Mithilā
Text 1.31.16

इत्य् उक्त्वा मुनिशार्दूलः कौशिकः स तपोधन।
प्रदक्षिणं ततः कृत्वा सिद्धाश्रममनुत्तमम्।
उत्तरां दिशमुद्दिश्य प्रस्थातुमुपचक्रमे॥

ity uktvā muni-śārdūlaḥ kauśikaḥ sa tapo-dhanaḥ
pradakṣiṇaṁ
tataḥ kṛtvā siddhāśramam anuttamam
uttarāṁ
diśam uddiśya prasthātum upacakrame

iti uktvā = having said this; muni-śārdūlaḥ = the best of sages; kauśikaḥ saḥ = Kauśika Viśvāmitra; tapaḥ-dhanaḥ = whose wealth was his performance of austerities; pradakṣiṇam tataḥ kṛtvā = then circumambulated; siddhāśramam = Siddhāśrama; anuttamam = that excellent; uttarām diśam uddiśya = towards the north; prasthātum upacakrame = and prepared to depart.

Having said this, the best of sages, Kauśika Viśvāmitra whose wealth was his performance of austerities, then circumambulated that excellent Siddhāśrama and prepared to depart towards the north.

The sage first took leave of the forest deities and then circumambulated Siddhāśrama.
