Chapter 31: Viśvāmitra, Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa Depart for Mithilā
Text 1.31.25

चोदितो रामवाक्येन कथयामास सुव्रतः।
तस्य देशस्य निखिलमृषिमध्ये महातपाः॥

codito rāma-vākyena kathayām āsa suvrataḥ
tasya
deśasya nikhilam ṛṣi-madhye mahā-tapāḥ

coditaḥ = requested; rāma-vākyena = by the words of Rāma; kathayām āsa = spoke; suvrataḥ = Viśvāmitra, the sage of good vows; tasya deśasya nikhilam = about all events pertaining to that place; ṛṣi-madhye = in the midst of the sages; mahā-tapāḥ = and great austerity.

Requested by the words of Rāma, Viśvāmitra, the sage of good vows and great austerity, in the midst of the sages, spoke about all events pertaining to that place.
