Chapter 33: Kuśanābha’s Daughters marry Brahmadatta
Text 1.33.12

तप्यन्तं तमृषिं तत्र गन्धर्वी पर्युपासते।
सोमदा नाम भद्रं ते ऊर्मिलातनया तदा॥

tapyantaṁ tam ṛṣiṁ tatra gandharvī paryupāsate
somadā
nāma bhadraṁ te ūrmilā-tanayā tadā

tapyantam tam ṛṣim = that austere sage; tatra = there; gandharvīḥ = a Gandharvī; paryupāsate = served; somadā = Somadā; nāma = named; bhadram te = auspiciousness unto you; ūrmilā-tanayā = the daughter of Ūrmilā; tadā = at that time.

While he was performing such austerities, a gandharvī named Somadā, the daughter of Ūrmilā, served that austere sage. Auspiciousness unto you.

The expression “Auspiciousness unto you” that occurs here and there is to invoke auspiciousness.
