Text 1.33.21
तमाहूय महातेजा ब्रह्मदत्तं महीपतिः।
ददौ कन्याशतं राजा सुप्रीतेनान्तरात्मना॥
tam āhūya mahā-tejā brahmadattaṁ mahī-patiḥ
dadau kanyā-śataṁ rājā suprītenāntarātmanā
tam = that; āhūya = call for and; mahā-tejāḥ = the greatly powerful; brahmadattam = Brahmadatta; mahī-patiḥ = the greatly powerful King Kuśanābha; dadau = gave in charity in marriage; kanyā-śatam = his hundred daughters [to him]; rājā = and pleasing; su-prītena-antaḥ-ātmanā = with a very delighted heart.
The greatly powerful and pleasing emperor Kuśānabha called for that Brahmadatta and, with a very delighted heart, gave his hundred daughters to him in charity in marriage.
Rājā here indicates that King Kuśanābha was very pleasing [in his talks with Brahmadatta].
