Chapter 33: Kuśanābha’s Daughters marry Brahmadatta
Text 1.33.23
स्पृष्टमात्रे ततः पाणौ विकुब्जा विगतज्वराः।
युक्ताः परमया लक्ष्म्या बभुः कन्याशतं तदा॥
spṛṣṭamātre tataḥ pāṇau vikubjā vigata-jvarāḥ
yuktāḥ paramayā lakṣmyā babhuḥ kanyā śataṁ tadā
spṛṣṭa-mātre tataḥ pāṇau = as soon as their hands were touched by the son of Cūlī; vikubjāḥ = became free from the deformities of their bodies; vigata-jvarāḥ = free from anxieties; yuktāḥ = with; paramayā lakṣmyā = great beauty; babhuḥ = and shown; kanyā-śatam tadā = the hundred daughters of Kuśanābha.
As soon as their hands were touched by the son of Cūlī, the hundred daughters of Kuśānabha became free from the deformities of their bodies and shone with great beauty, free from anxieties.
