Chapter 33: Kuśanābha’s Daughters marry Brahmadatta
Text 1.33.5

तासां तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा राजा परमधार्मिकः।
प्रत्युवाच महातेजाः कन्याशतमनुत्तमम्॥

tāsāṁ tad vacanaṁ śrutvā rājā parama-dhārmikaḥ
pratyuvāca
mahā-tejāḥ kanyā-śatam anuttamam

tāsām = their; tad vacanam = words; śrutvā = hearing; rājā = king; parama-dhārmikaḥ = the greatly dhārmika; pratyuvāca = replied as follows; mahā-tejāḥ = of great prowess Kuśanābha; kanyā-śatam anuttamam = to his hundred excellent daughters.

Hearing the words of his hundred excellent daughters, the greatly dhārmika king of great prowess, Kuśanābha, then told them the following.

His daughters were excellent because they possessed the quality of kṣamā (forgiveness) and tolerance.
