Chapter 33: Kuśanābha’s Daughters marry Brahmadatta
Text 1.33.7
अलङ्कारो हि नारीणां क्षमा तु पुरुषस्य वा।
alaṅkāro hi nārīṇāṁ kṣamā tu puruṣasya vā
alaṅkāraḥ hi = an ornament; nārīṇām = the women; kṣamā tu = tolerance of others offences is; puruṣasya vā = and men.
Tolerance of others’ offences is an ornament to women and men.
This explains the previous verse.
