Chapter 35: The History of Gaṅga
Text 1.35.8
तां दृष्ट्वा पुण्यसलिलां हंससारससेविताम्।
बभूवुर्मुनयः सर्वे मुदिताः सहराघवाः॥
tāṁ dṛṣṭvā puṇya-salilāṁ haṁsa-sārasa-sevitām
babhūvur munayaḥ sarve muditāḥ saha-rāghavāḥ
tām = Gaṅgā; dṛṣṭvā = upon seeing; puṇya-salilām = of pious water; haṁsa-sārasa-sevitām = resorted to by Haṁsa swans and Sārasa swans; babhūvuḥ = became; munayaḥ = the sages; sarve = all; muditāḥ = delighted; saha-rāghavāḥ = and the descendants of Raghu.
Upon seeing Gaṅgā of pious waters resorted to by Haṁsa swans and Sārasa swans, all the sages and the descendants of Raghu became delighted.
