Chapter 37: The History of Skanda
Text 1.37.27
ततस्तु देवताः सर्वाः कार्तिकेय इति ब्रुवन्।
पुत्रस्त्रैलोक्यविख्यातो भविष्यति न संशयः॥
tatas tu devatāḥ sarvāḥ kārtikeya iti bruvan
putras trailokya-vikhyāto bhaviṣyati na saṁśayaḥ
tataḥ tu = then; devatāḥ = the demigods; sarvāḥ = all; kārtikeyaḥ iti = as Kārtikeya; bruvan = said; putraḥ = this son; trailokya-vikhyātaḥ = famous in the three worlds; bhaviṣyati = will be; na saṁśayaḥ = there is no doubt that.
Then all the demigods said: There is no doubt that this son will be famous in the three worlds as Kārtikeya.
The demigods stated that the boy who was fed by the Kṛttikās as mentioned above will be known as Kārtikeya—the son of the Kṛttikās.
