Chapter 37: The History of Skanda
Text 1.37.33

एष ते राम गङ्गाया विस्तरोऽभिहितो मया।
कुमारसम्भवश्चैव धन्यः पुण्यस्तथैव च॥

eṣa te rāma gaṅgāyā vistaro ‘bhihito mayā
kumāra-sambhavaś
caiva dhanyaḥ puṇyas tathaiva ca

eṣaḥ = thus; te = to You; rāma = O Rāma; gaṅgāyāḥ = about Gaṅgā; vistaraḥ = in detail; abhihitaḥ mayā = I have described; kumāra-sambhavaḥ ca eva = and the birth of Kumāra; dhanyaḥ = this description produces fortune; puṇyaḥ tathā eva ca = and pious credits.

O Rāma, I have thus described in detail about Gaṅgā and the birth of Kumāra. This description produces fortune and pious credits.

The detail about Gaṅgā described here is her divine appearance. The result of hearing this narration is acquisition of fortune and pious credits.
