Chapter 38: The History of Sagara

वैदर्भदुहिता राम केशिनी नाम नामतः।
ज्येष्ठा सगरपत्नी सा धर्मिष्ठा सत्यवादिनी॥
vaidarbha-duhitā rāma keśinī nāma nāmataḥ
jyeṣṭhā sagara-patnī sā dharmiṣṭhā satya-vādinī
vaidarbha-duhitā = Vaidarbha’s daughter; rāma = O Rāma; keśinī = Keśinī; nāma = famous; nāmataḥ = with the name; jyeṣṭhā = elder; sagara-patnī = was the wife of Sagara; sā = she; dharmiṣṭhā = was very fixed on Vedic dharma; satya-vādinī = and truthful in speech.
O Rāma, Vaidarbha’s daughter famous with the name Keśinī was the elder wife of Sagara. She was very fixed on Vedic dharma and truthful in speech.
