Chapter 39: Sagara’s Sons Search for the Sacrificial Horse
Text 1.39.24
ते प्रसाद्य महात्मानं विषण्णवदनास् तदा।
ऊचुः परमसन्त्रस्ताः पितामहमिदं वचः॥
te prasādya mahātmānaṁ viṣaṇṇa-vadanās tadā
ūcuḥ parama-santrastāḥ pitāmaham idaṁ vacaḥ
te = they; prasādya = after glorifying; mahā-ātmānam = that great soul; viṣaṇṇa-vadanāḥ tadā = with distressed faces; ūcuḥ = spoke; parama-santrastāḥ = and while trembling in fear; pitāmaham = to grandfather Brahmā; idam = following; vacaḥ = words.
After glorifying that great soul, with distressed faces and while trembling in fear, they spoke the following words to Grandfather Brahmā.
