Chapter 39: Sagara’s Sons Search for the Sacrificial Horse

तस्याश्वचर्यां काकुत्स्थ दृढधन्वा महारथः।
अंशुमानकरोत्तात सगरस्य मते स्थितः॥
tasyāśva-caryāṁ kākutstha dṛḍha-dhanvā mahā-rathaḥ
aṁśumān akarot tāta sagarasya mate sthitaḥ
tasya = the; aśva-caryām = sacrificial horse; kākutstha = O descendant of Kakutstha; dṛḍha-dhanvā = the excellent bowman; mahā-rathaḥ = and chariot fighter; aṁśumān = Aṁśumān; akarot = followed; tāta = my child; sagarasya mate sthitaḥ = on the order of Sagara.
O descendant of Kakutstha, my child, on the order of Sagara, the excellent bowman and great chariot fighter Aṁśumān followed the sacrificial horse.
