Chapter 4: Kuśa and Lava Meet Lord Rāmacandra
Text 1.4.25
आयुष्यमपरे प्राहुर्मुदा तत्र महर्षयः।
ददुश्चैव वरान्सर्वान्मुनयः सत्यवादिनः॥
āyuṣyam apare prāhur mudā tatra maha-rṣayaḥ
daduś caiva varān sarvān munayaḥ satya-vādinaḥ
āyuṣyam = their blessings for the boys’ longevity; apare = other; prāhuḥ = pronounced their blessings; mudā = happily; tatra = there; mahā-ṛṣayaḥ = great sages; daduḥ ca eva = gave them varān = benedictions; sarve = all of; munayaḥ = the sages; satya-vādinaḥ = true in speech.
Other great sages there happily pronounced their blessings for the boys’ longevity. All of the sages, true in speech, gave them benedictions.
