तौ चापि मधुरं रक्तं स्वञ्चितायतनिःस्वनम्।
तन्त्रीलयवदत्यर्थं विश्रुतार्थमगायताम्॥
tau cāpi madhuraṁ raktaṁ svañcitāyata-niḥsvanam
tantrī-layavad atyarthaṁ viśrutārtham agāyatām
tau ca api= they both; madhuram = that [worshipable song of the Rāmāyaṇa] that was sweet; raktam = filled with rāgas; svañcita-āyata-niḥsvanam = with high pitch; tantrī-layavat = with stringed musical accompaniment and a rhythmic tempo; atyartham = and with extremely; viśruta-artham = clear meaning; agāyatām = sang.
They both sang that [worshipable song of the Rāmāyaṇa] that was sweet, filled with rāgas, with high pitch, with stringed musical accompaniment and a rhythmic tempo and with extremely clear meaning.
