Chapter 45: The Churning of the Milk Ocean
Text 1.45.14
श्रूयतां राम शक्रस्य कथां कथयतः शुभाम्।
अस्मिन्देशे तु यद्वृत्तं तदपि शृणु राघव॥
śrūyatāṁ rāma śakrasya kathāṁ kathayataḥ śubhām
asmin deśe tu yad vṛttaṁ tad api śṛṇu rāghava
śrūyatām = listen; rāma = O Rāma; śakrasya = about Indra; kathām kathayataḥ = to my narration; śubhām = auspicious; asmin = in this; deśe tu = land; yat vṛttam = that took place; tat = the events; api = also; śṛṇu = hear about; rāghava = O Rāghava.
O Rāghava, hear about the events that took place in this land. O Rāma, also listen to my auspicious narration about Indra.
