Chapter 45: The Churning of the Milk Ocean
Text 1.45.26
देवान्विसृज्य देवेशो जगाम भगवान्हरः।
ततो देवासुराः सर्वे ममन्थू रघुनन्दन॥
devān visṛjya deveśo jagāma bhagavān haraḥ
tato devāsurāḥ sarve mamanthū raghu-nandana
devān visṛjya deva-iśaḥ jagāma = the Lord of the demigods then disappeared from their vision; bhagavān = Lord; haraḥ = Hara (Śiva); tataḥ = then; deva-asurāḥ sarve = all the devas and asuras; mamanthuḥ = continued to churn [the milk ocean]; raghu-nandana = O beloved descendant of Raghu.
Lord Hara (Śiva), the Lord of the demigods, then disappeared from their vision. O beloved descendant of Raghu, all the devas and asuras then continued to churn [the milk ocean].
