Chapter 45: The Churning of the Milk Ocean
Text 1.45.30
पर्वताग्रं तु लोकात्मा हस्तेनाक्रम्य केशवः।
देवानां मध्यतः स्थित्वा ममन्थ पुरुषोत्तमः॥
parvatāgraṁ tu lokātmā hastenākramya keśavaḥ
devānāṁ madhyataḥ sthitvā mamantha puruṣottamaḥ
parvata-agram tu = the summit of the mountain; loka-ātmā = the Supersoul of all the worlds; hastena = with one hand; ākramya = caught; keśavaḥ = Lord Keśava; devānām = madhyataḥ = among the devas; sthitvā = situated Himself; mamantha = and churned the ocean; puruṣa-uttamaḥ = the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
The Supersoul of all the worlds, Lord Keśava, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, caught the summit of the mountain with one hand, situated Himself among the devas and churned the ocean.
