Chapter 45: The Churning of the Milk Ocean
Text 1.45.46
उदतिष्ठन्नरश्रेष्ठ तथैवामृतमुत्तमम्॥
udatiṣṭhan nara-śreṣṭha tathaivāmṛtam uttamam
udatiṣṭhat = arose; nara-śreṣṭha = O best of men; tathā eva = then; amṛtam = nectar; uttamam = the best of all items.
O best of men, then arose the best of all items: nectar.
[From the perspective of the sons of Aditi and Diti,] nectar was the best of all items that had appeared till then.
