Chapter 45: The Churning of the Milk Ocean
Text 1.45.52
निहत्य दितिपुत्रांश्च राज्यं प्राप्य पुरन्दरः।
शशास मुदितो लोकान् सर्षिसङ्घान्सचारणान्॥
nihatya diti-putrāṁś ca rājyaṁ prāpya purandaraḥ
śaśāsa mudito lokān sarṣi-saṅghān sacāraṇān
nihatya = having destroyed; diti-putrān = Diti’s sons; ca = having attained nectar and; rājyam prāpya = having obtained his kingdom; purandaraḥ = Indra; śaśāsa muditaḥ = happily ruled over; lokān = the worlds; sa-ṛṣi-saṅghān = sages; sa-cāraṇān and cāraṇas.
Having destroyed Diti’s sons, having attained nectar and having obtained his kingdom, Indra happily ruled over the worlds, sages and cāraṇas.
