Chapter 48: Gautama Curses Ahalyā
Text 1.48.12

मिथिलोपवने तत्र आश्रमं दृश्य राघवः।
पुराणं निर्जनं रम्यं पप्रच्छ मुनिपुङ्गवम्॥

mithilopavane tatra āśramaṁ dṛśya rāghavaḥ
purāṇaṁ
nirjanaṁ ramyaṁ papraccha muni-puṅgavam

mithila-upavane tatra = in a small forest in Mithilā; āśramam = āśrama; dṛśya = noticing; rāghavaḥ = the descendant of Raghu Lord Rāma; purāṇam = an old; nirjanam = empty; ramyam = and pleasant; papraccha = asked as follows; muni-puṅgavam = the best of sages.

Noticing an old, empty and pleasant āśrama in a small forest in Mithilā, Lord Rāma, the descendant of Raghu, asked the best of sages as follows.

It was empty; there were no leaf huts there.
