O greatly fortunate brāhmaṇa, many thousands of brāhmaṇas absorbed in Vedic study residing in various lands and hermitages of sages crowded with hundreds of carts are seen here.1 Please arrange for a place where we can stay.

The resources mentioned in text 2 are the brāhmaṇas and sages described here. Lord Rāma requested Viśvāmitra to arrange a [separate] place for the three of them to stay because this place was crowded.

1 King Janaka had arranged for the many sages to reside in hermitages. These are standard elaborate arrangements for sacrifices, like the arrangements that had been made by Daśaratha for his Putreṣṭī sacrifice in order to have children.
