Chapter 51: King Viśvāmitra Arrives at Vasiṣṭha’s Āśrama
Text 1.51.14
अचिन्त्यकर्मा तपसा ब्रह्मर्षिरतुलप्रभः।
विश्वामित्रो महातेजा वेत्स्येनं परमां गतिम्॥
acintya-karmā tapasā brahma-rṣir atula-prabhaḥ
viśvāmitro mahā-tejā vetsy enaṁ paramāṁ gatim
acintya-karmā = He has performed inconceivable activities; tapasā = by dint of his austerity; brahma-ṛṣiḥ = he has attained the status of a brahmarṣi; atula-prabhaḥ = and is of incomparable splendor; viśvāmitraḥ; mahā-tejā vetsi enam paramām gatim = know that Viśvāmitra of great prowess can grant you the highest benefit.
By dint of his austerity, he has attained the status of a brahmarṣi. He has performed inconceivable activities and is of incomparable splendor. Know that Viśvāmitra of great prowess can grant you the highest benefit.
