tair āsīt saṁvṛtā bhūmiḥ śakair yavana-miśritaiḥ
prabhāvadbhir
mahā-vīryair hema-kiñjalka-sannibhaiḥ

taiḥ āsīt saṁvṛtā bhūmiḥ = the earth became covered over; śakaiḥ = with śakas; yavana-miśritaiḥ = mixed with yavanas; prabhāvadbhiḥ = all brilliant; mahā-vīryaiḥ = greatly powerful; hema-kiñjalka-sannibhaiḥ = and resembling the filaments of a campaka flower.

taiḥ āsīt saṁvṛtā bhūmiḥ = the earth became covered over; śakaiḥ = with śakas; yavana-miśritaiḥ = mixed with yavanas; prabhāvadbhiḥ = all brilliant; mahā-vīryaiḥ = greatly powerful; hema-kiñjalka-sannibhaiḥ = and resembling the filaments of a campaka flower.

Here hema (literally “golden”) refers to a campaka flower, for that flower is referred to as “golden.”
