Chapter 57: King Triśaṅku’s Desire

प्रत्याख्यातो वसिष्ठेन गतिमन्यां तपोधनाः।
गुरुपुत्रानृते सर्वान्नाहं पश्यामि काञ्चन॥
pratyākhyāto vasiṣṭhena gatim anyāṁ tapo-dhanāḥ
guru-putrān ṛte sarvān nāhaṁ paśyāmi kāñcana
pratyākhyātaḥ = rejected; vasiṣṭhena = by Vasiṣṭha; gatim anyām = means to perform this sacrifice; tapaḥ-dhanāḥ = O ones rich with austerity; guru-putrān = the sons of my guru; ṛte = other than; sarvān = of all; na aham = not; paśyāmi = I do find [to take shelter]; kāñcana = any.
O ones rich with austerity, rejected by Vasiṣṭha, I do not find any means to perform this sacrifice other than to take shelter of all the sons of my guru.
