Chapter 57: King Triśaṅku’s Desire
Text 1.57.21
तस्मादनन्तरं सर्वे भवन्तो दैवतं मम॥
tasmād anantaraṁ sarve bhavanto daivataṁ mama
tasmāt anantaram = next to Vasiṣṭha; sarve bhavantaḥ = all of you; daivatam mama= are my worshipable deity.
Next to Vasiṣṭha, all of you are my worshipable deity.
Triśaṅku intended to say, “In the absence of Vasiṣṭha’s protection, you are my protectors.”
