Chapter 58: King Triśaṅku Cursed
Text 1.58.14

एको हि राजा काकुत्स्थ जगाम परमात्मवान्।
दह्यमानो दिवारात्रं विश्वामित्रं तपोधनम्॥

eko hi rājā kākutstha jagāma paramātmavān
dahyamāno
divārātraṁ viśvāmitraṁ tapodhanam

ekaḥ hi = all alone; rājā = the king; kākutstha = O descendant of Kakutstha; jagāma = went; parama-ātmavān = becoming extremely patient; dahyamānaḥ = burning in distress; diva-rātram = day and night; viśvāmitram = to Viśvāmitra; tapaḥ-dhanam = who was rich in austerity.

O descendant of Kakutstha, becoming extremely patient, the king, burning in distress day and night, all alone went to Viśvāmitra who was rich in austerity.

Triśaṅku went to Viśvāmitra because he was an enemy of Vasiṣṭha.
