Chapter 58: King Triśaṅku Cursed

प्रत्याख्यातो हि दुर्बुद्धे गुरुणा सत्यवादिना।
तं कथं समतिक्रम्य शाखान्तरमुपेयिवान्॥
pratyākhyāto hi durbuddhe guruṇā satya-vādinā
taṁ kathaṁ samatikramya śākhāntaram upeyivān
pratyākhyātaḥ hi = you have been rejected; durbuddhe = O unintelligent one; guruṇā = guru; satya-vādināḥ = by your truthful; tam = him; katham = how dare; samatikramya = you transgress and; śākha-antaram upeyivān = seek the shelter of others.
O unintelligent one, you have been rejected by your truthful guru. How dare you transgress him and seek the shelter of others?
