Canto 1 - Boyhood
Bāla-kāṇḍa
Chapter 58: King Triśaṅku Cursed
Text 1.58.9

ऋषिपुत्रास्तु तच्छ्रुत्वा वाक्यं घोराभिसंहितम्।
शेपुः परमसङ्क्रुद्धाश्चण्डालत्वं गमिष्यसि॥

ṛṣi-putrās tu tac chrutvā vākyaṁ ghorābhisaṁhitam
śepuḥ
parama-saṅkruddhāś caṇḍālatvaṁ gamiṣyasi

ṛṣi-putrāḥ tu = the sage’s sons; tat śrutvā vākyam = hearing those words; ghora-abhisaṁhitam = filled with a fierce intent; śepuḥ = cursed him; parama-saṅkruddhāḥ = in extreme wrath; caṇḍālatvam = a caṇḍāla; gamiṣyasi = you will become.

Hearing those words filled with a fierce intent, the sage’s sons cursed him in extreme wrath, “You will become a caṇḍāla.”

Ghorābhisaṁhitam indicates that Triśaṅku had the fierce intention to transgress Vasiṣṭha, his own kula-guru and a direct son of Lord Brahmā, and take shelter of another sacrificial priest.
