Chapter 59: Viśvāmitra Assures Triśaṅku
Text 1.59.15
एतद्वचननैष्ठुर्यमूचुः संरक्तलोचनाः।
वासिष्ठा मुनिशार्दूल सर्वे ते समहोदयाः॥
etad vacana-naiṣṭhuryam ūcuḥ saṁrakta-locanāḥ
vāsiṣṭhā muni-śārdūla sarve te sa-mahodayāḥ
etat = these; vacana-naiṣṭhuryam = cruel words; ūcuḥ = spoke; saṁrakta-locanāḥ = with reddened eyes; vāsiṣṭhāḥ = the sons of Vasiṣṭha; muni-śārdūla = O tiger among sages; sarve te = all; sa-mahodayāḥ = and Mahodaya Ṛṣi.
O tiger among sages, with reddened eyes, all the sons of Vasiṣṭha and Mahodaya Ṛṣi spoke these cruel words
