prāṇa-atipāta-nirataḥ = and absorbed in taking away others’ lives; niranukrośatām gataḥ = becoming merciless; dīrgha-kālam = for a long period of time; mama = my; krodhāt = because of the anger [towards him]; durgatim = in a wretched state; vartayiṣyati = he shall live.
