Chapter 59: Viśvāmitra Assures Triśaṅku
Text 1.59.7
सर्वान् ऋषिगणान्वत्सा आनयध्वं ममाज्ञया।
सशिष्यसुहृदश्चैव सर्त्विजः सबहुश्रुतान्॥
sarvān ṛṣi-gaṇān vatsā ānayadhvaṁ mamājñayā
saśiṣya-suhṛdaś caiva sartvijaḥ sabahu-śrutān
sarvān ṛṣi-gaṇān = all the sages; vatsāḥ = O children; ānayadhvam = bring; mama ājñayā = on my command; sa-śiṣya-suhṛdaḥ = my well wishers with their disciples; ca eva = as well as; sa-ṛtvijaḥ = sacrificial priests; sa-bahu-śrutān = very well versed in the Vedic scriptures.
O children, on my command, bring all the sages, my well wishers with their disciples, as well as sacrificial priests very well versed in the Vedic scriptures.
Suhṛdaḥ indicates that Viśvāmitra wanted to invite sages with good hearts.
