एवमुक्त्वा महातेजाः पुत्रान्परमधार्मिकान्।
व्यादिदेश महाप्राज्ञान्यज्ञसम्भारकारणात्।
सर्वाञ्शिष्यान्समाहूय वाक्यमेतदुवाच ह॥
evam uktvā mahā-tejāḥ putrān parama-dhārmikān
vyādideśa mahā-prājñān yajña-sambhāra-kāraṇāt
sarvāñ śiṣyān samāhūya vākyam etad uvāca ha
evam uktvā = having said this; mahā-tejāḥ = that greatly powerful one; putrān parama-dhārmikān = his highly virtuous sons; vyādideśa = ordered; mahā-prājñān = and greatly wise; yajña-sambhāra-kāraṇāt = to provide the sacrificial ingredients; sarvān śiṣyān = all his disciples; samāhūya = he called and; vākyam etat = the following words; uvāca ha = spoke.
Having said this, that greatly powerful one ordered his highly virtuous and greatly wise sons to provide the sacrificial ingredients. He called all his disciples and spoke the following words.
Viśvāmitra’s servants are referred to above as his disciples.
