Chapter 62: Śunaḥśepa Saved
Text 1.62.20
इमे तु गाथे द्वे दिव्ये गायेथा मुनिपुत्रक।
अम्बरीषस्य यज्ञेऽस्मिंस्ततः सिद्धिमवाप्स्यसि॥
ime tu gāthe dve divye gāyethā muni-putraka
ambarīṣasya yajñe ‘smiṁs tataḥ siddhim avāpsyasi
ime tu gāthe dve divye = these two divine verses; gāyethāḥ = sing; muni-putraka = O son of a sage; ambarīṣasya = of Ambarīṣa; yajñe = sacrifice; asmin = in that; tataḥ = and then; siddhim avāpsyasi = you will become successful.
O son of a sage, sing these two divine verses in that sacrifice of Ambarīṣa and then you will become successful.
The verses were about Indra and Upendra. One was about Indra and the other was about Upendra. “You will become successful” means “You will become successful in your attempt to live.”
