Chapter 63: Viśvāmitra Falls Prey to Lust
Text 1.63.18
देवतानां वचः श्रुत्वा सर्वलोकपितामहः।
अब्रवीन्मधुरं वाक्यं विश्वामित्रं तपोधनम्॥
devatānāṁ vacaḥ śrutvā sarva-loka-pitāmahaḥ
abravīn madhuraṁ vākyaṁ viśvāmitraṁ tapo-dhanam
devatānām = of the demigods; vacaḥ = the words; śrutvā = hearing; sarva-loka-pitāmahaḥ = the grandfather of all the worlds; abravīt = spoke; madhuram = sweet; vākyam = the following words; viśvāmitram = to Viśvāmitra; tapaḥ-dhanam = who was rich in austerity.
Hearing the words of the demigods, the grandfather of all the worlds spoke the following sweet words to Viśvāmitra who was rich in austerity.
