Chapter 66: The History of Lord Śiva’s bow
Text 1.66.2

तमर्चयित्वा धर्मात्मा शास्त्रदृष्टेन कर्मणा।
राघवौ च महात्मानौ तदा वाक्यमुवाच ह॥

tam arcayitvā dharmātmā śāstra-dṛṣṭena karmaṇā
rāghavau
ca mahātmānau tadā vākyam uvāca ha

tam = Viśvāmitra; arcayitvā = worshipped and; dharma-ātmā = the king whose mind was devoted to dharma; śāstra-dṛṣṭena karmaṇā = through scripturally prescribed activities; rāghavau = Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa; ca = and; mahā-ātmānau = the great souls; tadā = then; vākyam = the following words; uvāca ha = spoke.

The king whose mind was devoted to dharma worshipped Viśvāmitra and the great souls Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa through scripturally prescribed activities and then spoke the following words.

King Janaka worshipped them by presenting arghya and other objects [used to worship worshipable personalities].
