Chapter 66: The History of Lord Śiva’s bow
Text 1.66.27

यद्यस्य धनुषो रामः कुर्यादारोपणं मुने।
सुतामयोनिजां सीतां दद्यां दाशरथेरहम्॥

yady asya dhanuṣo rāmaḥ kuryād āropaṇaṁ mune
sutām
ayonijāṁ sītāṁ dadyāṁ dāśarather aham

yadi = if; asya = this; dhanuṣaḥ = bow; rāmaḥ = Rāma; kuryāt āropaṇam = can string; mune = O sage; sutām = my daughter; ayonijām = who was not born from anyone’s womb; sītām = Sītā; dadyām = will give; dāśaratheḥ = Daśaratha’s son; aham = I.

O sage, if Rāma can string this bow, I will give Daśaratha’s son my daughter Sītā who was not born from anyone’s womb.
