Chapter 68: Daśaratha Delighted
Text 1.68.15
दूतवाक्यं तु तच् ह्रुत्वा राजा परमहर्षितः।
वसिष्ठं वामदेवं च मन्त्रिणोऽन्यांश्च सोऽब्रवीत्॥
dūta-vākyaṁ tu tac chrutvā rājā parama-harṣitaḥ
vasiṣṭhaṁ vāmadevaṁ ca mantriṇo ’nyāṁś ca so ’bravīt
dūta-vākyam tu tat = the words of the messengers; śrutvā = hearing; rājā = the king; parama-harṣitaḥ = was extremely delighted; vasiṣṭham = Vasiṣṭha; vāmadevam ca = Vāmadeva; mantriṇaḥ = ministers; anyān = other; ca = and; saḥ = he; abravīt = told as follows.
Hearing the words of the messengers, the king was extremely delighted. He told Vasiṣṭha, Vāmadeva and other ministers as follows.
