Chapter 70: Rāma’s Noble Lineage
Text 1.70.29

हिमवन्तमुपागम्य भृगुप्रस्रवणेऽवसत्।
असितोऽल्पबलो राजा कालधर्ममुपेयिवान्॥

himavantam upāgamya bhṛguprasravaṇe’vasat
asito
’lpa-balo rājā kāla-dharmam upeyivān

himavantam = to Himalayas; upāgamya = having come; bhṛguprasravaṇe = at Bhṛguprasravaṇa; avasat = resided; asitaḥ = Asita; alpa-balaḥ = having little strength; rājā = the king; kāla-dharmam upeyivān = [eventually] succumbed to death.

Having come to Himalayas, Asita resided at Bhṛguprasravaṇa. Having little strength, the king [eventually] succumbed to death.

Bhṛguprasravaṇa is a place near a waterfall in the presence of the great sage Bhṛgu. This is the same place previously referred to as Bhṛgutunda.
