Chapter 70: Rāma’s Noble Lineage
Text 1.70.9
सोऽभिवाद्य शतानन्दं राजानं चापि धार्मिकम्।
राजार्हं परमं दिव्यमासनं चाध्यरोहत॥
so ‘bhivādya śatānandaṁ rājānaṁ cāpi dhārmikam
rājārhaṁ paramaṁ divyam āsanaṁ cādhyarohata
saḥ = he; abhivādya = having offered his respects; śatānandam = to Śatānanda; rājānam = king; ca api = and; dhārmikam = the dhārmika; rājārham = fit for a king; paramam = to an excellent; divyam = celestial; āsanam ca = throne; adhyarohata = climbed up.
Having offered his respects to Śatānanda and the dhārmika king, he climbed up to an excellent celestial throne fit for a king.
Kuśadhvaja climbed up to the royal throne with the permission of the priest and the king.
