Chapter 72: Daśaratha’s Charity Before the Wedding
Text 1.72.12
एकाह्ना राजपुत्रीणां चतसॄणां महामुने।
पाणीन्गृह्णन्तु चत्वारो राजपुत्रा महाबलाः॥
ekāhnā rāja-putrīṇāṁ catasṝṇāṁ mahā-mune
pāṇīn gṛhṇantu catvāro rāja-putrā mahā-balāḥ
ekāhnā = on the same day; rāja-putrīṇām catasṝṇām = the four princes; mahā-mune = O great sage; pāṇīn = the hands; gṛhṇantu = let accept; catvāraḥ = the four; rāja-putrāḥ = of princesses; mahā-balāḥ = of great strength.
O great sage, let the four princes of great strength accept the hands of the four princesses on the same day.
