Chapter 72: Daśaratha’s Charity Before the Wedding
Text 1.72.19
स्वस्ति प्राप्नुहि भद्रं ते गमिष्यामि स्वमालयम्।
श्राद्धकर्माणि सर्वाणि विधास्यामीति चाब्रवीत्॥
svasti prāpnuhi bhadraṁ te gamiṣyāmi svam ālayam
śrāddha-karmāṇi sarvāṇi vidhāsyāmīti cābravīt
svasti prāpnuhi = may you attain prosperity; bhadram te = and auspiciousness; gamiṣyāmi svam ālayam = I will go to my place; śrāddha-karmāṇi sarvāṇi = all the śrāddha rituals; vidhāsyāmi = I will have performed; iti ca = thus; abravīt = King Daśaratha spoke.
May you attain prosperity and auspiciousness. I will go to my place. I will have all the śrāddha rituals performed. Thus King Daśaratha spoke.
