Chapter 73: The Grand Wedding of Sītā and Rāma
Text 1.73.20
अथ राजा दशरथः पुत्रैः स्त्रीभिश्च संवृतः।
सर्वानृषीन्पुरस्कृत्य प्रविवेश महाद्युतिः॥
atha rājā daśarathaḥ putraiḥ strībhiś ca saṁvṛtaḥ
sarvān ṛṣīn puraskṛtya praviveśa mahā-dyutiḥ
atha = then; rājā = king; daśarathaḥ = Daśaratha; putraiḥ = by his sons; strībhiḥ ca = and wives; saṁvṛtaḥ = surrounded; sarvān ṛṣīn = all the sages; puraskṛtya = keeping in front of him; praviveśa = entered [the wedding platform]; mahā-dyutiḥ = the greatly effulgent.
Then, the greatly effulgent King Daśaratha, surrounded by his sons and wives, keeping all the sages in front of him, entered [the wedding platform].
