Chapter 73: The Grand Wedding of Sītā and Rāma
Text 1.73.36
एवं दत्त्वा तदा सीतां मन्त्रोदकपुरस्कृताम्।
अब्रवीज्जनको राजा हर्षेणाभिपरिप्लुतः॥
evaṁ dattvā tadā sītāṁ mantrodaka-puraskṛtām
abravīj janako rājā harṣeṇābhipariplutaḥ
evam dattvā tadā sītām = then having given Sītā; mantra-udaka-puraskṛtām = having sprinkled water sanctified by mantras and; abravīt = spoke as follows; janakaḥ rājā = King Janaka; harṣeṇa = by delight; abhipariplutaḥ = overwhelmed.
Having sprinkled water sanctified by mantras and then having given Sītā, King Janaka, overwhelmed by delight, spoke as follows.
