Chapter 73: The Grand Wedding of Sītā and Rāma
Text 1.73.43

काकुत्स्थैश्च गृहीतेषु ललितेषु च पाणिषु।
पुष्पवृष्टिर्महत्यासीदन्तरिक्षात्सुभास्वरा।
दिव्यदुन्दुभिनिर्घोषैर्गीतवादित्रनिःस्वनैः॥

kākutsthaiś ca gṛhīteṣu laliteṣu ca pāṇiṣu
puṣpa-vṛṣṭir
mahaty āsīd antarikṣāt subhāsvarā
divya-dundubhi-nirghoṣair
gīta-vāditra-niḥsvanaiḥ

kākutsthaiḥ ca = the descendants of Kakutstha; gṛhīteṣu = when accepted; laliteṣu ca = the gentle; pāṇiṣu = hands [of Their respective brides]; puṣpa-vṛṣṭiḥ = shower of flowers; mahatī āsīt = there was a great; antarikṣāt = from the sky; subhāsvarā = and splendid; divya-dundubhi-nirghoṣaiḥ = amidst the sounds of divine dundubhi drums being beaten; gīta-vāditra-niḥsvanaiḥ = and the sounds of celestial songs and music.

When the descendants of Kakutstha accepted the gentle hands of Their respective brides, there was a great and splendid shower of flowers from the sky amidst the sounds of divine dundubhi drums being beaten and the sounds of celestial songs and music.
