Text 1.74.10

gacchantaṁ taṁ nara-vyāghraṁ sarṣi-saṅghaṁ sarāghavam
ghorāḥ
sma pakṣiṇo vāco vyāharanti tatas tataḥ
bhaumāś
caiva mṛgāḥ sarve gacchanti sma pradakṣiṇam

gacchantam = who was moving; tam nara-vyāghram = at the king; sa-ṛṣi-saṅgham = with the sages; sa-rāghavam = and the descendants of Raghu; ghorāḥ sma = terribly; pakṣiṇaḥ = crows and other birds; vācaḥ vyāharanti = screeched; tataḥ tataḥ = here and there; bhaumāḥ ca eva = on the land; mṛgāḥ sarve = all the deer; gacchanti sma = were moving; pradakṣiṇam = to the right.

Here and there, crows and other birds screeched terribly at the king who was moving with the sages and the descendants of Raghu. On the land, all the deer were moving to the right.

The terrible screech of the birds was an inauspicious omen. [The deer moving to the right] was an auspicious omen. There was an inauspicious omen in the sky and an auspicious omen on the land.
