Chapter 74: The Arrival of Paraśurāma
Text 1.74.13
राज्ञो दशरथस्यैतच्छ्रुत्वा वाक्यं महानृषिः।
उवाच मधुरां वाणीं श्रूयतामस्य यत्फलम्॥
rājño daśarathasyaitac chrutvā vākyaṁ mahān ṛṣiḥ
uvāca madhurāṁ vāṇīṁ śrūyatām asya yat phalam
rājñaḥ daśarathasya = from King Daśaratha; etat = these; śrutvā = on hearing; vākyam = words; mahān = the great; ṛṣiḥ = sage Vasiṣṭha; uvāca = spoke; madhurām = sweet; vāṇīm = words; śrūyatām = listen to; asya yat phalam = the consequence of these actions.
On hearing these words from King Daśaratha, the great sage Vasiṣṭha spoke sweet words: Listen to the consequence of these actions.
