Chapter 74: The Arrival of Paraśurāma
Text 1.74.26
तस्मिंस्तु घोरे जमगद्निसूनुना त्वासादिते राममभिप्रकोपे।
दृढं नरेन्द्रस्य बलं महाबलं भयं प्रविष्टं च विषादितं च॥
tasmiṁs tu ghore jamagadni-sūnunā
tv āsādite rāmam abhiprakope
dṛḍhaṁ narendrasya balaṁ mahā-balaṁ
bhayaṁ praviṣṭaṁ ca viṣāditaṁ ca
tasmin tu = when the; ghore = terror; jamagadni-sūnunā tu = by the son of Jamadagni; āsādite = brought about; rāmam = met Rāma; abhiprakope = greatly raging; dṛḍham = the very firm; nara-indrasya = of the king; balam = army; mahā-balam = greatly strong; bhayam = fear; praviṣṭam ca = entered; viṣāditam ca = and it became aggrieved.
When the greatly raging terror brought about by the son of Jamadagni met Rāma, fear entered the very firm and greatly strong army of the king and it became aggrieved.
