Chapter 74: The Arrival of Paraśurāma
Text 1.74.8
दत्त्वा बहुधनं राजा समनुज्ञाप्य पार्थिवम्।
प्रविवेश स्वनिलयं मिथिलां मिथिलेश्वरः॥
dattvā bahu-dhanaṁ rājā samanujñāpya pārthivam
praviveśa sva-nilayaṁ mithilāṁ mithileśvaraḥ
dattvā = having given; bahu-dhanam = much wealth; rājā = the king; samanujñāpya = took leave of; pārthivam = King Daśaratha; praviveśa = and entered; sva-nilayam = his residence; mithilām = Mithilā; mithilā-īśvaraḥ = and ruler of Mithilā.
Having given much wealth, the king and ruler of Mithilā took leave of King Daśaratha and entered his residence, Mithilā.
