Chapter 75: The History of the Bows of Lord Śiva and Lord Viṣṇu
Text 1.75.10

ब्रुवत्येवं दशरथे जामदग्न्यः प्रतापवान्।
अनादृयैव तद्वाक्यं राममेवाभ्यभाषत।
रोषात्प्रस्फुरमाणोष्ठो रामं परमधन्विनम्॥

bruvaty evaṁ daśarathe jāmadagnyaḥ pratāpavān
anādṛyaiva
tad-vākyaṁ rāmam evābhyabhāṣata
roṣāt
prasphuramāṇoṣṭho rāmaṁ parama-dhanvinam

bruvati = when spoke; evam = thus; daśarathe = Daśaratha; jāmadagnyaḥ pratāpavān = the powerful son of Jamadagni; anādṛya eva = simply disregarded and; tat-vākyam = his words; rāmam eva = to Rāma; abhyabhāṣata = spoke; roṣāt = out of anger; prasphuramāṇa-uṣṭhaḥ = Paraśurāma’s lips were trembling in anger; rāmam = at Rāma; parama-dhanvinam = the supreme archer.

When Daśaratha spoke thus, the powerful son of Jamadagni simply disregarded his words and spoke to Rāma. Out of anger at Rāma, the supreme archer, Paraśurāma’s lips were trembling in anger.
